Ravel, Moondog, Django, Kool, Ibrahim, Ravi, J Dilla, Jim O Rourke, Buell Kazee, Lee Perry, Black Flag, Lil' Wayne, Reich, Talk Talk, or even Justin Timberlake. Life is too short to choose one genre of music per era of your life. The artifice of 'maistream' 'alternative' and 'cool' are what keeps the greatest of musics from rising above.
